CFD Wind Analysis for a High-Rise Cluster
The high-rise mixed-use tower project developed by Ata Group in Benghazi, Libya, brings together office, five-star hotel and residential functions in a cluster of closely spaced towers. Alkazar carried out CFD wind consultancy for this project.
For towers exceeding 100 metres, façade wind pressure, vortex-shedding-driven cross-wind effects and tower-to-tower interference are decisive. The lakeside, open setting — with unobstructed, high reference wind speeds — also makes pedestrian-level wind comfort critical.
