A Free-Standing Tower on a Sloped Campus
On the steeply sloping Çekmeköy campus of Özyeğin University, Alkazar carried out the façade wind-load calculation for the elevator tower that provides access between levels.
As a slender, free-standing structure, the elevator tower requires a dedicated analysis of peak wind loads, wind-induced sway and façade pressure zones. The campus valley topography amplifies wind acceleration between levels.
